Prior to coming to Wexford, Robert was with Montage Palmetto Bluff where he served as General Manager of the Octagon, the premier restaurant of the resort and oversaw all resort bar functions. During his tenure, Robert played a role in the resort achieving the prestigious Forbes five-star award, given to the top luxury resorts in the world. He was also instrumental in seeking and developing talented individuals that could maintain the level of standards and service to Palmetto Bluff members and guests. Robert also participated in task force opportunities relating to grand openings of other Montage resorts, food and beverage summits and is currently in the process of achieving his sommelier certificate from the Court of Master Sommeliers.
Robert held several roles within the industry from ownership, development of concepts, design and construction, licensing and management. His principle techniques of food sales and marketing, analyzing financial statements, forecasting and production plans are his favorite skill set.
Robert attended the University of Florida and will tout the Gator Nation. He is a seven-year Hilton Head transplant originally from Pass-a-Grille Beach, Florida, where he met his wife Kirsten of 28 years. They have two adult sons and a Bull Mastiff named Duke.
